Michael J Claridge (sometimes known in DeithHub videos as Jay) is the founder of DeithHub. He is usually the host of videos and is considered the leader of the team and crew.

History Edit

Pre-DeithHub Edit

Claridge joined the YouTube community in 2011 (aged 7-8) when his cousin, Adam, introduced him to the platform by showing him How to Dump Your Girlfriend by Smosh. That same year, Adam wanted to develop his own YouTube comedy series dubbed "Do You Like My Hat?". Claridge loved the process of filming the video, and decided to take it to the next level by writing scripts instead of improvising. Claridge enjoyed writing scripts with his cousin, and knew what he wanted to do in the future.

Later on in 2011, Adam showed Claridge asdfmovie by TomSka, and drew him towards animation and cartoons, thus arousing the concept of writing scripts for YouTube comedy videos. However, when he tried to write videos on his own, he found it difficult. He wanted to do something funny, but unscripted. Claridge addressed his issue to Adam, who showed him Smosh Games, and the Let's Play community on the internet. Claridge now knew what he wanted to do.

Between 2012 and 2015, Claridge attempted to begin his own YouTube gaming series, but each time didn't feel correct to him.

In 2014, Claridge met Tyrrell, Nina, Mason and Flynn for the first time.

On April 25, 2015, however, Claridge opened a channel called 'MikeOwnzGames' and shown of some games he developed on Scratch. He wasn't proud with the results, but was proud with himself. Through 2015 and 2016, Claridge developed his channel and his videos further until finding what he liked best.

Claridge started a YouTube series called 'Deith' on May 13, 2015 where he and his friends would mess around and have fun in the school playground. As he grew older, Claridge started to despise Deith to the point where he deleted all 26 episodes and 2 seasons that were produced.

In 2017, Claridge tried to incorperate the ideas he had earlier into a YouTube channel, but decided to wait until he has good enough software to do so. Claridge instead developed other channels.

Years after the idea grew in his mind, Claridge founded DeithHub on March 6, 2018. This channel ended up being inspired by many YouTube channels he found on his journey such as TWD98, SootHouse, Smosh (Smosh Games), Team Edge etc. He took the 'bringing friends in' element from Deith, and thus, named the channel after it.

In DeithHub Edit

Claridge is a current member of DeithHub, and has been since it was founded. Before any videos were released, Claridge developed ideas for videos everyday at home and, using his Nikon B500, recorded many test videos for elements such as face-cams.

In April 2018, Michael confirmed DeithHub will begin soon and also announced DeithHubGames, which is in an experimental phase. Later that month, DeithHub and all related material were discontinued.

Michael revealled that DeithHubGames will remain cancelled while DeithHub became active and development resumed on July 14, 2018. He is responsable for the channel's rebranding.
